Award-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg was among the honorees of the seventh annual “Made in NY” Awards, hosted by Mayor Bloomberg and Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment Commissioner Katherine Oliver at Gracie Mansion on June 4, 2012.
Other 2012 “Made in NY” honorees include: actor/director/producer Robert De Niro; actress Meryl Streep; actress and television host Kelly Ripa; the award-winning media @radical.media company, which develops, produces and distributes innovative content across all forms of media; and New York City-based Kickstarter, the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects.
This year’s “Made in NY” Mayor’s Award for Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the legendary husband-and-wife comedy team Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara.
Raven-Symoné and the cast of the Broadway musical Sister Act performed during the reception.
