A-list celebrities from R&B singer Estelle to Carmelo Anthony were all in attendance at the Gordon Parks Foundation Awards Dinner held on June 4th, 2013 at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.
The event honored people who have contributed their lives to the arts. This year’s honorees include Peter Beard, Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean, Donna Karen, and Carrie Mae Weems.
The foundation’s mission is to preserve the work of Gordon Parks, a self-taught photographer, composer and author, and make his creations available to the public through exhibitions, books, and electronic media.
