Iconic singer Chaka Khan joined past Apollo Legends Hall of Fame inductees during the Apollo Theater 8th Annual Spring Gala concert held in Harlem on June 10, 2013.
Grammy award winning artist Erykah Badu presented the award to Chaka Khan who is celebrating this year her 40th anniversary in the music business.
The gala hosted this year by Wayne Brady, included special tribute performances by Jennifer Holiday, Patti Labelle, Mary J Blige, Deborah Cox, and Alexandra Burke.
The event also honored Lisa Price, Founder & President of Carol’s Daughter who received the Percy E. Sutton Civic Leadership Award and Time Warner Cable who accepted the Apollo’s 2013 Corporate Award presented by actress Sarah Jessica Parker.
