West Harlem Group Assistance Inc, celebrates 41st Anniversary

West Harlem Group Assistance Inc, honored Radio One founder Cathy Hugues; Maxine Griffith, executive VP for Government and Community Affairs at Columbia University and Everett Hinds, sales manager at Southern Wine and Spirit of New York, during its 41st anniversary celebration held on Oct. 18, 2012 at Aaron Davis Hall on the City College of New York campus in Manhattan.

Past honorees include Harlemites Tamara Tunie and George Generet, Vy Higginsen and state Senator Bill Perkins.

The West Harlem Group Assistance was created 41 years ago to revitalize the under-invested West and Central Harlem communities. For more information about the organization, visit whgainc.org.
