The newly elected President Bassirou Diomaye Faye met with the outgoing President Macky SALL on Thursday at the presidential palace located in the Senegalese capital of Dakar.
President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, accompanied by his mentor Ousmane Sonko, was elected in the first round during the presidential election on March 24, 2024.
This meeting, described as “courteous,” was an opportunity to intensely discuss the significant state issues, the arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony, and the handover of duties scheduled for April 2.
After this meeting, a tour of the presidential palace took place.
