President Bassirou Diomaye Faye outlines his priority projects in his first public declaration

Following the presidential elections on March 24, 2024, candidate Bassirou Diomaye Faye, projected by the election results to become the 5th President of the Republic of Senegal, made his first declaration to thank the Senegalese people and his allies, issue a solidarity appeal to Africans, and reassure the international community.

During a brief speech in French and Wolof, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye did not fail to mention the priority projects of his future government, namely:

  • National reconciliation and the construction of the foundations for living together
  • Refoundation of institutions
  • Significant reduction in the cost of living
  • Inclusive sectorial national consultations on the evaluation and revival of public policies

The Senegalese people eagerly await the official proclamation of the election results by the administrative authorities and April 2, 2024, the day of the transfer of power when President Bassirou Diomaye Faye will have all the necessary authority to initiate the changes that the Senegalese people deserve.
