Spirit of ABNY Awards honors tech industry leaders

The Association for a Better New York Foundation hosted its 2012 Spirit of ABNY Awards before a packed house at Union Square Hall on April 26, 2012. This year’s honorees were leaders from the tech industry in New York.

Mayor Bloomberg, who made an appearance at the event, joined ABNY Chairman Bill Rudin to present Greycroft LLC Founder and Managing Director Alan Patricof with his award.

Other honorees included Harry Heymann, Head of Engineering for Foursquare; Paul Hurley, CEO of ideeli; and Dawn Barber, co-founder of NY Tech Meet-Up.

Robert K. Steel, New York’s deputy mayor for Economic Development received the Lew Rudin Founders’ Award. And the award for Cornell University and Technion – Israel Institute of Technology was accepted by W. Kent Fuchs.
