Women in the Black honors Curly Girl Collective, Egypt “Ify” Ufele, Suzzanne Douglas and Kyndra Frazier

Women in the Black honored the Curly Girl Collective, Egypt “Ify” Ufele, Suzzanne Douglas and Kyndra Frazier during its 21st Who’s the Boss Conference held on June 8, 2019 in Harlem.

Around 75 women entrepreneurs attended the event that included a breakfast, a pitch competition, a keynote speech by Sofia Davis, workshops, a celebration circle and an after-party.

The winner of this year’s pitch competition is Eartha Watts-Hicks, founder of Earthatone Publishing and Earthatone Books.

Princess Jenkins, owner of the Brownstone Boutique in Harlem launched Women in the Black in 1988 to give “women of color the best in class information and resources to grow their business”.
