Greater New York Chapter of The Links hosted its 62nd annual Women of Distinction Spirit Awards Luncheon, on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.

This year’s honorees were Tanya Leah Lombard, Vice President of Public Affairs at AT&T and Essence Magazine Editor-in-Chief Constance C.R. White.

Recording artist Estelle was spotted at the event, which featured a vendors’ showcase and a fashion show with acclaimed black designers Barbara Bates, b. Michael and Edward Wilkerson.

Established in 1946, The Links is one of America’s oldest and largest women’s volunteer service organizations, linked in friendship and committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of persons of African descent.
