The Diaspora for Africa

The Africa Now: Policy Series, a collaborative partnership between Dr. Kwame Akonor, director of Seton Hall University’s African Development Institute and Ismael Betancourt, Director of the Institute for Multicultural Communications, Cooperation and Development, Inc. (IF-MC-CA-DI), invited his excellency Maged Abdelfatah Abdelaziz, Under-Secretary-General and Special Adviser on Africa, for a conversation on African development at the Harvard Club on February 20, 2013.

The Africa Now: Policy Series, a series of events aiming to involve the African Diaspora in the elaboration of policies for the development of Africa, is scheduled to take place every month at a different location.

The next event will be held at CUNY Graduate Center on March 13, 2013 from 6pm to 8:30pm. Ms. Amini Kajunju, President and CEO of the Africa-America Institute (AAI) will be addressing the audience on the theme “Empowering Africa through the Diaspora”.
