The Aar Suñu Elections coalition sets a new date and rolls out its action plan

“The Aar Suñu Elections platform cannot remain passive in the face of repeated attacks on the rights guaranteed by the constitution to Senegalese citizens,” said Mr. Kane, the coalition spokesperson.

After a ban by the prefect of Dakar on their peaceful march on February 13, the Aar Suñu Elections (save our elections) coalition announced during a press conference held the same day that the new date of Saturday February 16 from 11 a.m. had was retained.

The coalition calls for massive mobilization by different legal and peaceful means:

– Silent walking

– Operation ghost town

-General strike

– Minimum service in public, parapublic and private administration

– Unannounced sit-ins

– Flash mobs in public places

– Coordinated preaching in mosques and churches

– Artistic and media events

– Demonstration of urban and rural cultures

– Specific activities for young people and women

– Questioning of Senegal’s economic and financial partners on country risk
