Street in Brooklyn named after American jazz pianist Randy Weston

On September 29, 2019 Fatou Weston, the widow of renowned American jazz pianist Randy Weston was joined by elected officials including Majority Leader Laurie Cumbo, family members, musicians and friends for the co-naming ceremony of Randy Weston Way on the corner of Grand and Lafayette Avenues in Brooklyn.
