Somali-American model and entrepreneur Iman was honored during the African Heritage Reception hosted by Mayor Bill de Blasio and First Lady Chirlane McCray on September 26, 2019 at Gracie Mansion.

The African New Yorker was recognized for her humanitarian work in Africa and efforts in fostering diversity in the fashion, beauty and media industries.
