Senegalese New Yorkers met on 116th Street in Harlem on February 10, 2024, to call on President Macky Sall to respect the electoral calendar and organize the presidential elections on the initially scheduled date of February 25, 2024.

The Malian community represented by Awa Tabouré came to support the Senegalese people she invited to continue fighting to achieve their goal.

“Our hearts go out to you,” she said. “This struggle is a pan-African struggle. You must not give up. Wake up, Senegalese people. Don’t let Macky Sall do what Allassane Ouattara did in Ivory Coast. The objective is to get rid of Macky Sall.

The demonstrators also encouraged the citizens present to pick up their voter IDs and be ready to vote at the end of the month.
