Schomburg Center hosts advance community screening of Harriet in Harlem

The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture hosted an advance community screening of Harriet, the biographical film about freedom fighter Harriet Tubman who escaped slavery and help free hundreds of slaves from the south.

Three members of the cast Cynthia Erivo, Vondie Curtis-Hall and Henry Hunter Hall, attended the screening held on October 19, 2019.

Harriet will be in theaters on November 1, 2019.
