H.E. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao receives Bedford-Stuyvesant Museum of African Art Madiba Humanitarian Award

The Bedford-Stuyvesant Museum of African Art (BSMAA) honored Africa Union Ambassador to the U.S. H.E. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao during its 5th Annual Madiba Humanitarian Awards celebrating the legacy of late freedom fighter and South African President Nelson Mandela on October 19, 2019 at the Brooklyn Museum.

The Bedford-Stuyvesant Museum of African also honored former Mayor of NYC David Dinkins, NYC Council Majority Leader Laurie A. Cumbo, Olympic 2016 Fencing Bronze Medal Winner Ibtihaj Muhammad, Brooklyn Legal Services President Judge Betty Staton and President and Founder of Children of Promise NYC Sharon Content.

The Bedford-Stuyvesant Museum of African Art (BSMAA), founded by Vira Lynn Jones, is an organization providing enriching educational experience to residents of Central Brooklyn and beyond.
