NYC Department of Small Business Services partners with Angela Yee to bring resources to underserved community

On April 15, 2022, the Department of Small Business Services (SBS), Department of Consumer & Worker Protection (DCWP), and the Mayor’s Public Engagement Unit (PEU), in partnership with Power 105.1 Breakfast Club host and Bed -Stuy entrepreneur, Angela Yee held a press conference at CUP (Coffee Uplifts People), in Brooklyn, to introduce its mobile unit to the public.

SBS’s mobile unit will provide employment services, free tax prep, health insurance, tenant support, and benefits screening directly to underserved communities.

Kim, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, DCWP Commissioner Vilda Vera Mayuga, CAU Commissioner Fred Kreizman, PEU Executive Director Adrienne Lever, Deputy Mayor for Economic & Workforce Development Maria Torres-Springer, Power 105.1 “Breakfast Club’s” Angela Yee, NYS Assembly Member Phara Souffrant Forrest (District 57), Council Member Julie Menin, Council Member Chi Osse’, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce Senior Director Saloni Sharma and Community Board 3 District Manager Henry Butler were among the city officials present.
