NATO intervention in Libya has destroyed everything, according to Arab League Special envoy to Libya

The Arab League Special envoy to Libya, Salah Eddine Al-Jamali, believes that the intervention of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Libya “has destroyed everything including security and governmental institutions”.

In an interview with the Egyptian television ”Al-Ghad”, the Tunisian diplomat has, along the same lines, found regrettable the absence of a culture of dialog and acceptance in most of Arab societies”.

According to him, a national dialogue “is always for some a way to achieve long lasting change on the ground”.

However, he wished that 2017 would be marked by an end to the Libyan crisis, especially now that the country is no longer able to support more divisions and fighting.

For him, the Libyan case is popular because Libya benefits from an exceptional strategic position on the Mediterranean and oil resources, both attracting foreign interests.
