Bamako, Mali (PANA) – Malian Foreign and African Integration Minister, Abdrahamane Sylla, signed Tuesday an agreement with Italian NGO “Svilppo 2000”, in a bid to reduce Malian migration to the European country.

Both parties believe that this objective will be reached by strengthening the productive activities of the “Agrosahel” farms and the construction of an agricultural transformation unit in the region of Kayes, western Mali.

According to the sources, a series of integrated activities, costing 1.082 billion FCFA, will be organised with the help of “Svilppo 2000” in this region to settle 80 Malian citizens currently benefitting from the “right of travel” on humanitarian grounds in Italy.

They will be repatriated by the Italian authorities at the end of their trip.
