Majority of Bronx fire victims’ families denied visas to come to New York

Africa in Harlem invited Fatou Waggeh, a member of the Gambian community related to Haji Jawara and Isatou Jabbie, who died in the Twin Parks fire, to discuss issues affecting the families left behind. She explains how most of the victims’ families were denied visas to come to New York, not once but twice. Despite the promise made by Senator Schumer last year, they were not allowed to come to grieve their loved ones.
