Tripoli, Libya (PANA) – A meeting of Libya’s six neighbouring countries – Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Sudan, Niger and Chad – has been scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt, later this month, to find ways to enhance Libya’s stability, the Egyptian Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs in charge of neighbouring countries, Mohamed Bedreddine, announced on Tuesday.

The announcement came at the end of a visit by an Egyptian delegation to the new Libyan Parliament in Tobruk, a visit aimed at reiterating Egyptian support for Libya in the face of challenges.

On Thursday, the political action group for Libya, drawn from the six neighbouring countries, condemned all the terrorist acts perpetrated in Libya.

The group also underlined the need to respect Libya’s unity, its sovereignty and the integrity of its territory.

They also called for the total cessation of all forms of violence and armed clashes, and urged the warring parties to settle their disputes through dialogue.
