Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement, Inc. (HCCI), a coalition of inter-faith congregations providing affordable housing to Harlem residents along with housing developer Camber Property Group cut the ribbon for their latest project, Victory Plaza on July 16, 2021 in East Harlem.

The ribbon-cutting was followed by the building name reveal. HCCI paid tribute to HCCI former chairperson Joan O. Dawson, PhD by naming, the building after her, to her surprise.

Dawson, who served in the board for more than 20 years, is replaced by Rev. Keith W. Roberson, M. Div.

Victory Plaza is an affordable housing development built exclusively for seniors with forty percent of the units reserved for formerly homeless seniors, all of whom will receive intensive case management services from HCCI.

Victory Plaza is located adjacent to Victory One, a senior housing project developed by Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement, Inc. (HCCI) in 1998.
