Eric Garner’s mother Gwen Carr and Nikole Hannah-Jones, author of The 1619 Project, were among the individuals honored at the One Hundred Black Men 40th Annual Benefit Gala on February 20, 2020 at The Sheraton Times Square in Manhattan.

The year’s gala themed, “2020: The Best is Yet to Come, Celebrating Our Past While Remaining Steadfast Towards Our Future,” also honored: Reginald Miller, Dean for Research Operations and Infrastructure, Mount Sinai; Jermaine Huell, Supplier Diversity Manager, STV: Mandell Crawley, Head of Private Wealth Management, Morgan Stanley; Quentin Roach, Senior Vice President, Business Development & Supplier Management Groups & Chief Procurement Officer for Merck; Kim Godwin, Executive Vice President, CBS National News; John Elefterakis, Founding Partner of Panek; Rachel Noerdlinger, Managing Director for Mercury and Scott Bremerman, President East Region, UPS.

The black-tie event benefits the Founding Chapter of One Hundred Black Men’s Junior 100 Scholarship Program.
