African Communities Together hosted on April 14, 2018 in Harlem, a training on videotaping ICE with advocacy organization Urban Justice Center and Witness, an organization using video to create human rights change to prepare members of the African immigrant community to an encounter with immigration officers. Despite New York being a sanctuary city, the number of visits by ICE agents has drastically increased since the election of the 45th president of the United States in 2016.

African Communities Together is an organization of African immigrants fighting for civil rights, opportunity, and a better life for African families here in the U.S. and worldwide.
