African Advisory meeting to feature presentation on I-601 to get a green card

The African Advisory Council of the Bronx will host its monthly meeting today at 6:30 pm at the Bronx County Supreme court (Room 915) located at 851 Grand Concourse with a special emphasis on a new way to request a waiver of unlawful presence in order to receive a green card.

The meeting will feature a special presentation on I-601, Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility for foreign citizens who are inadmissible to the United States and are seeking an immigrant visa, adjustment of status, certain nonimmigrant statuses or certain other immigration benefits.

On August 29, 2016, the provisional unlawful presence waiver process was expanded to all individuals statutorily eligible for an immigrant visa and a waiver of inadmissibility for unlawful presence in the United States.
