Young Senegalese filmmakers screen first film “Njumte” at the National Black Theatre

A group of young Senegalese filmmakers led by Alioune Sine screened their first film titled “Njumte” meaning “Mistake” on Sunday December 14, 2014 at the National Black Theatre in Harlem.

Njumte tells the story of a young Senegalese woman coming to New York to join her husband who left their native Senegal a few years earlier in search of a better life.
