Women at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza

Women from different parts of the world gathered on March 8, 2012 at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza across from the United Nations headquarters, to chant and dance adorning themselves with yellow slashes where they could write their own cause, in celebration of International Women’s Day. This year’s theme was: “Global Women for equality, development and peace.”
