With the cause of death still unknown, Alfa Barrie will be laid to rest on June 23rd

More than a month after the Police found Alfa Barrie’s lifeless body in the Hudson River, his family says the medical examiner’s office hasn’t given them a cause of death. Nevertheless, they will hold a funeral service at the Futa Islamic Center on June 23, 2023.

The 11-year-old boy will be buried after the Janazah prayer at the Malboro Muslim Memorial Cemetery in New Jersey.

Alfa Barrie was last seen in Harlem on May 12, 2023, with 13-year-old friend Garret Warren. His lifeless body was found in the Hudson River on May 20, 2023.
