Don’t forget to vote! It’s Primary Election Day in New York City

If you live in Harlem District 9, you have the opportunity to choose your next council member and the 12 delegates to the Judicial Convention 70th Assembly District.

For City Council, the candidates are Yusef Salaam, Inez E Dickens and Al Taylor.

Current District 9 council member Kristin Richardson Jordan is on the ballot but is not seeking reelection.

Because New York City uses Ranked Choice Voting in primary elections for city offices, like City Council, you need to rank the three candidates in order of preference instead of choosing just one.

In the delegate race, two groups of 12 candidates are competing. You will have to choose 12 delegates.

The choices on your ballot might differ depending on where you live in the city.

Polls are open until 9 p.m.
