Tripoli, Libya – Libya and a US-based company, Sophia, have signed an agreement under which the American firm will build a hospital in Tripoli under six months, the Libyan Health Minister, Nour Edine Doghman, announced here Tuesday.
When completed, the 120-bed hospital will handle emergency cases only, Doghman indicated.
“We have struck a deal with the American firm, Sophia, to build an emergency health facility in Tripoli within a six-month period,” he said, adding “The accord also makes provision for the training of Libyan health professionals under the supervision of an American medical team.”
