Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) – The Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture expects the agriculture sector to grow by 8% in 2015 against 2% growth last year.
The ministry said there was a 300% increase in the production of olive oil in 2014 to 280,000 tons.
It also said there was an expected increase in the production of cereals and a growth of 3% to 5% for almost all other crops during 2014.
The production of dates increased by 11% compared to the 2013 campaign, with the production of 223,000 tons while production of tomato reached 900,000 tons.
