The Council of Young African Leaders seeks to reposition Africa

The Council of Young African Leaders hosted a symposium titled “The role of Youth in Renegotiating Africa’s Position in the World” on Sept. 22, 2012 at CUNY John Jay College in Manhattan.

The symposium began on Friday, September 21 with a networking reception and was followed by panel discussions and workshops on Saturday. The Keynote speaker was author Abdi Latif Ega.

The organization believes that African youth are “the makers of Africa and if properly trained and given the resources are the answers to Africa existing struggles…”
