Sudan, Niger agree to cooperate in petroleum, other domains

Khartoum, Sudan – Sudan and Niger have agreed to cooperate in the petroleum, bilateral and regional sectors, the official Sudan Radio Omdurman reported on Friday.

The official broadcaster said Sudan’s Presidential Assistant, Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie, received at his office Niger’s Energy and Petroleum Minister Foumakoye Gado, and reviewed with him the bilateral relations between the two countries .

The radio quoted Minister Gado as saying the meeting was in response to an invitation extended by the Oil Minister, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, in the context of the joint cooperation between the two countries.

He said the meeting also discussed the joint coordination between Sudan and Niger in regional and international forum.

The Nigerien Minister arrived in Khartoum Wednesday on a short visit to the country.
