The South African community of New York hosted a Freedom Day Celebration remembering South African Trumpetist Hugh Masekela on April 28, 2018 at the Harlem Hospital Center.
Phumla Andy Makwabe, Voza Rivers, Ntomb’Khona Dlamini and the South African Harlem voices, Shave Choir, Thuli Dumakude. Sikhulu Shange, Jimmy MGwandi Quartet were among the speakers and performers.
