Senegalese Association of America celebrates Women’s History Month in Harlem

The Senegalese Association of America celebrated Women’s History Month on March 15, 2022, in Harlem by honoring several women from the community including Astou Athieu, Deedee Diabou Beye, Khady Gueye Abdou Khadre, Sellou Kane Coly, Ida Bassy Faty, Assane Mariama Gueye, Aurelie Ndour, NDeye Bineta Sy, and Yacine Sylla.

Several elected officials including Ndeye Saly Diop Dieng, Minister of Family, Women, Children, and Gender, H.E. Mansour Elimane Kane, Ambassador of Senegal to the U.S., H.E. Cheikh Niang, Ambassador of Senegal to the U.N., and El Hadji NDao, Consul General of Senegal, NY State Senator Cordell Cleare, Councilmember Kristin Richardson Jordan attended the event.
