Senator Perkins 2nd Annual Forum on Immigration

Senator Bill Perkins hosted on March 9, 2012, a forum on Immigration Reform and Empowerment at Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building. Fatima Shama, Commissioner of Immigrant Affairs, was the keynote speaker, and special guests included Sidy Niang, Consul General of Senegal, and Carlos Sada, Consul General of Mexico. The main topic of the forum was the DREAM act, a bill that would provide undocumented students graduating from high school permanent residency, and consequently access to college.
