The first in-person New York City Department of Small Business Services’ (SBS) Citywide Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) Procurement Fair since 2019 took place at Barclays Center on September 22, 2022.
The event featured an opening session with Mayor Eric Adams, SBS Commissioner Kevin D. Kim, Founder of Social Justice Fund Clara Wu Tsai, Deputy Mayor for Economic and Workforce Development Maria Torres Springer, more than 80 exhibitors, on-site technical assistance, professional headshots, dedicated space for M/WBE networking and a “cannabis conversation.”
The City’s MWBE program celebrated its 30th anniversary this year.
