Protesters in front of the Senegalese Association’s Headquarters

Senegalese citizens gathered in Harlem on Thursday, February 2, 2012 to protest against the validation of President Wade candidacy by the constitutional court. Abdoulaye Wade who was first elected in 2000, plans on running for a third term after changing the constitution and establishing a two-term limit. The presidential elections are scheduled to take place on February 26, 2012.
