Photos: 4th Annual United States Conference on African Immigrant and Refugee Health

The African community hosted the 4th Annual United States Conference on African Immigrant and Refugee Health (USCAIRH-2016) from September 15, through Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the New York LaGuardia Airport Marriot.

Several researchers and health industry experts gathered to present their findings and discuss issues affecting African immigrants and refugees in America.

Hundreds of participants coming from different corners of the country attended the three-day event.

The conference was cosponsored by the USCAIRH-2016 National Planning Committee, the United States Department of Health and Human Services, the Office of Minority Health (OMH), the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH), the African Life Center, the African Services Committee and Bronx Community Health Network, Inc. (BCHN).

The 5th Annual United States Conference on African Immigrant and Refugee Health is scheduled next year in Washington D.C.
