Photos: 24th New York African Film Festival puts the spotlight on Senegalese short films

The 24th New York African Film Festival hosted a special shorts program titled Senegal Spotlight on May 6, 2017 at the Film Society of Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

The evening featured several shorts made in Senegal including Boxing Girl by Iman Djionne, Dem! Dem! By Pape Bouname Lopy, Marc Recchia and Christophe Rolin, Maman(s) by Maimouna Doucouré, Marabout by Alassane Sy and Samedi Cinéma by Mamadou Dia.

A Q&A moderated by the president of the Association of Senegalese in America Ibrahim Sow followed the screening.
