One Hundred Black Men partners with Hennessy to provide grants up to $15,000 to black businesses

The Harlem based organization One Hundred Black Men is partnering with Hennessy to provide grants from $5,000 to $15,000 to black businesses impacted by COVID-19.

The program, called Unfinished Business, provides immediate resources and long-term support to several communities bearing a disproportionate share of COVID-19 related health and economic consequences.

The grants dispersed by One Hundred Black Men are for black businesses that have been in existence for at least two years as of March 2020:

There are two grant designations:

1- $5,000 for businesses with up to 25 employees and revenues of 1.5 M or less
2- $15.000 for businesses with 26-50 employees and revenues between 1.5M and 3M

Application instructions
Grants will be awarded of the first come first served basis, and a complete application with all the requested documentation is necessary for consideration

Requested documents must include:
• Proof of ethnicity
• Certificate of incorporation or Certificate of Authority
• MBE Certification
• 2 years of Federal Tax Filings
• Current fiscal year profit and loss statement
• Copy of current lease agreement
• Most recent payroll summary, invoices for rent, mortgage, operating expenses, utilities, technological upgrades

The program will launch on Monday June 22, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. EST.
