NYC Commission on Human Rights hosts 2nd Annual African Communities Resource Fair and Forum

The NYC Commission on Human Rights, together with Public Advocate Tish James, the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs and Community Affairs Unit, Monroe College, and Sauti Yetu Center hosted its 2nd Annual African Communities Resource Fair and Forum on May 10, 2018 at Monroe College in the Bronx

The event featured a panel of senior government employees of African descent who shared their experiences working for City government and give advice on pursuing a career in the public sector. The event also featured a resource fair with more than 15 community-based organizations and city agencies providing information on job opportunities, immigration law services, small and minority-owned businesses resources, and protections against discrimination and harassment in New York City.
