NYC Commission on Human Rights celebrates African Heritage Month at Brooklyn Borough Hall

The NYC Commission on Human Rights celebrated African Heritage Month on September 12, 2019 at Brooklyn Borough Hall by honoring members of the African Diaspora for their contribution to the community.

The Commission honored Judge Dweynie Paul, Samuel Pierre, Luc Severe, Rev. Andrew Wilkes, Kenneth Ebie, Olanike Alabi, Madina Toure, African Communities Together, Dr. Jessica Gordon-Nembhard, Dr. Jane Edward

Several City officials including the Chair of the NYC Commission on Human Rights Carmelyn P. Malalis, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, Deputy Mayor Phil Thompson, Councilmember Mathieu Eugene attended the celebration.
