Nigeria: Nigeria signs MoU with Chinese firm to create 2,000 trainee positions

Abuja, Nigeria (PANA) – The Nigerian government signed last Thursday a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chinese firm Huawei that provides for 2,000 ICT trainee jobs to young Nigerians next year.

The MOU was signed at the office of the Nigerian Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, under the “Huawei’s Seeds for the Future programme.”

According to the Vice President, ICT is one of the quickest ways people can get decent jobs, so we think this is absolutely important.

The ICT training initiative strives to create a platform to nurture work-ready ICT Experts by providing authentic ICT industry-relevant education.
