Nigeria: Buhari arrives Germany, to hold talks with Obama, other G-7 leaders

Abuja, Nigeria (PANA) – Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Munich, Germany, Sunday afternoon to begin a two-day official visit, during which he will participate in the G-7 Outreach programme for invited heads of government and global institutions.

President Buhari and his entourage were received on arrival by the Vice Minister-President of Bavaria, Mrs. Inge Aigner.

Before leaving Munich for home, President Buhari will hold bilateral talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany and Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada on the sidelines of the G-7 meeting.

He is also expected to meet US President Barack Obama, French President Francois Hollande, British Prime Minister David Cameron and other G-7 leaders in the course of the Outreach Session and a working lunch at the Elmau Castle.

The Head of the Bavarian regional government will host a dinner in honour of President Buhari and other leaders invited to the G-7 Outreach Programme Sunday night.

The G-7 meeting is also being attended by President Jacob Zuma of South Africa, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, President Macky Sall of Senegal, President Beji Caid Essebsi of Tunisia, Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn of Ethiopia and Chairperson of the African Union Commission Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, among others.
