Immigration: New York State DREAM Act passed

(New York, NY) Today, the New York State DREAM Act passed through the New York State Assembly for the third time in three years.

The New York State DREAM Act would allow undocumented college students who meet certain criteria to be eligible for state financial aid.

If enacted, New York would join California, Texas, New Mexico and Minnesota as the fifth state to offer access to financial support from public and private sources.
