New York City Murid Brotherhood kicks off cultural weeks celebration with Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Day

Members of the New York City Murid Brotherhood kicked off their annual cultural weeks celebration with a Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Day Celebration on July 28, 2018 in Harlem.

The march starting on 116th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd was headed by Serigne Mame Mor MBacke, grandson of the Murid Brotherhood’s founder Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba.

The march ended on the Plaza of the State Office Building where thousands of followers from over the country came to pay their respect to Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba and his family.
