As a kick-off to Black History Month, McDonald’s celebrated last week the achievements of Black Media Legends and the unveiling of the 2012 Faces of Black History poster at the Plaza Hotel. Faces of Black History was proudly created to salute and honor Black History makers, from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks to present day heroes. This year’s honorees include Jeff Burns Jr., Alkelee Daughtry, Preston Davis, Elise Finch, Nicole Johnson, Jennifer Jordan, Tom Joyner, Stephen G. Lucas, Dean Meminger, Gil Noble, Carole Owens, Miatta Haj Smith, Elinor Tatum, Ann Tripp, and William J. Wright.
