The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs unveiled a new series of more than 15 IDNYC videos in native languages spoken by local community members, including Fulani, Wolof, and Arabic, during a celebration of the annual International Mother Language Day on February 21, 2020 at the Surrogate’s Courthouse in Manhattan.
The event was hosted in partnership with the City Commission on Human Rights, the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, and the Endangered Language Alliance.
New York City is the most diverse city in the nation, with over 200 languages spoken by residents across the five boroughs!
