Mayor Eric Adams met members of the ethnic and community press at City Hall on January 6, 2023, to discuss his first year as the head of the City of New York.

Mayor Eric Adams, who created the Office of Ethnic and Community Media in 2022, started the meeting by reiterating his commitment.

“The ethnic media has been locked out… You are going to have access to me more than any other mayor in the history of this City,” Adams stated.

Several topics, including housing, immigration, the flood of migrants to New York City, and a more equitable distribution of the City’s advertisement dollars, were discussed during the hour-long roundtable.
